I first met Lindsey Shifley last fall. We were helping a friend and one of our favorite authors promote her new book. When I first saw Lindsey’s blog, To the Mullies, I thought, “wow, this is a mom that’s truly cooking with her kids and making it fun.” And to boot…she is a Super Ambassador for Jamie Oliver’s Food Revolution in Lake County Illinois. Whaaat?!
At the time, I didn’t even realize how much Lindsey was a kindred spirit. Sometimes in life, you get lucky to meet people who share a common passion and a good sense of humor! Lindsey and her amazing co-founder Tiffany Chesney, are real women, and they–like you and I–have the best of intentions each week to cook more, eat well, and be healthy. But let’s face it, our aspirations are always high as women and we feel guilty when we don’t meet them. But not with Lindsey and Tiffany. They have started a really cool movement–together–with community, and I am the lucky one that they wanted to use my Joyful 12 Online Vegetable Cooking Program as part of their experiments in helping their families eat well. I’m so thrilled to share their post with you this week and let you know that if you head on over to 52 Tries, you can enter their give-away to win one of the two free Joyful 12 memberships. The winners will be announced on February 26th, so don’t wait! Enter today!!
I’ll be reading their posts each week, and here’s why you’ll want to as well…
Lindsey and Tiffany are co-founders of 52tries.com – a website, a movement, a challenge – to take all of the weeks in a year and try for lasting change to enhance everyday life. Their site shares a variety of contributors’ intimate tries at commitment to a goal and their personal stories of what that looks like week-in and week-out. Their team writes diary-style entries of how their week is going – it’s a birds-eye, found a diary under the couch-cushion, peek into each person’s struggles and triumphs viewpoint. Each contributor is working on something new and challenging to them and as a reader you get to see where that leads them. Topics range from cooking to job satisfaction to learning to play the ukulele.
In addition, they collaborate with brands, companies, and individuals with their – & Company – posts, as an opportunity to share projects, foundations, and endeavors by people doing great things to educate and enhance lives in ways they think corresponds with 52tries.
Thank you, Lindsey and Tiffany for taking me on this joyful cooking adventure with your families!
